June 21: The Sun enters Cancer at 05:46am—it is the Summer Solstice.
“Solstice” means literally that the Sun stands still. It is that time of year when the Sun remains at its longest above the horizon in the northern hemisphere while south of the equator daylight is shortest as the winter months begin.

Venus conjoins Mars at 01:10pm at 15º Taurus.
As Venus is the ruler of the Bull, Mars occupies her sign and thus Venus will be the stronger of the two. This is a great time for romance and for spending money on things that bring joy to the heart. The Sun in Cancer stimulates domesticity, so this is a good day to be at home with the person you love.

June 22: New Moon at 04:46pm at 1º30 Cancer.
Great time to begin plans relative to your home situation.

Venus and Mars trine Saturn at 16º Taurus/Virgo.
These are good aspects for trying to work out a budget. Saturn is retrograde, so today may also be well spent trying to structure old debts and your practical commitments. If these aspects fall in close proximity to your Sun or Moon, and/or relate to your Seventh House, this can be a good day for relationships with parents and older people in general.

June 23: The Sun opposes Pluto at 2º Cancer/Capricorn.
Power struggles in the world are likely to come to the fore and there can be territorial disputes that emerge. If this falls in your horoscope in some exact aspect, you will are likely to come in contact with something strong about your past that needs to be “reworked” in terms of your emotional relationship to that person, situation, or place.

June 26: Mercury is square Saturn at 16º Gemini/Virgo.
Although many people will try (especially those with strong Mercury ruled sign placements in their chart) to create some logical sense of order and structure in their lives, this may not be the easiest thing to do today.

July 1 and 2: Mercury trine Jupiter and Neptune while also square Uranus at 26º Gemini/Aquarius/Pisces; Venus square Jupiter and Neptune while also sextile Uranus at 26º.
General observation: I dream the dream, spend money and resources trying to achieve that dream, share that dream with friends who do the same (in terms of their own dreams), and yet have a difficult time knowing if the dream is real or still a dream. Well at least it feels good and it’s nice to be in the company of other well-meaning dreamers!

July 3: Mercury enters Cancer at 07:21pm.
July 4: Mercury opposes Pluto at 1º42 Cancer/Capricorn.
There is a tendency for deep thinking, sometimes too deep. If a person has this aspect strongly configured to the natal chart, something unwanted or surprising is uncovered that may well have to do with domestic issues.

July 5: Venus enters Gemini.
July 5 to 7: Mars square Jupiter and Neptune while sextile Uranus at 26º Taurus/Aquarius/Pisces.
Financial complications are likely to come forth on the world economic scene, perhaps in terms of some scandal. This can also indicate that religious conflicts emerge—but this certainly wouldn’t be the first time the combination of money and religion create conflicts and difficulties for people. At the very least, this is not the best day to accomplish practical things, especially should these aspects fall into your natal chart.

July 7: Full Moon Eclipse at 15º24 Cancer/Capricorn at 09:23am.
Consider the circumstances mentioned above and on the 7th these should be considerably emphasized. Not the best day in the world for political or personal situations involving the economy, religion, or territorial issues.

July 10: The Jupiter/Neptune conjunction is exact at 26º01 Aquarius (Chiron is within minutes of this position).
This is a most inspirational configuration if it falls in a positive position in your natal chart. It expands vision and sensitivity to others, stimulates spiritual aspiration, and unfolds your direction in terms of service to humanity. If it is afflicting the chart, it brings illusion, disillusion, self-deception, and false idealism. You need to check out the 24th to 27th degrees of the fixed signs in your chart, as well as to see if these degrees are occupied by planets in the airy signs.

July 12: Mars enters Gemini.
July 14: Sun is conjoined Mercury at 22º Cancer.
This gives a lot of activities around the house, or it may also overly stimulate the mind to run on emotional instead of intellectual “gas.”

July 16: Mercury trine Uranus at 26º Cancer/Pisces.
Personally, I am very fond of this aspect as it definitely increases the ability to perceive deeply and communicate what is seen. An auspicious day to look deeply into the real reasons behind outer activities and come up with some of the answers.

July 17: Mercury enters Leo.
July 18: The Sun is trine to Uranus at 26º Cancer/Pisces.
This is a great day spend with your best friends, for it will give you the chance to share those mutual intimacies that bring you together. This could also be a a great day for humanitarian efforts on the world scene especially where family care is involved.

July 22: Total Solar Eclipse at 29º27 Cancer at 2:36am.
You are familiar no doubt with the expression, “Once in a blue Moon.” A “blue Moon” (I do not know where the color reference comes from—perhaps one of you can enlighten me about this…), is when the Moon is full twice in the same sign in the same lunar cycle. The Moon was full in Cancer on June 22nd and it is full again (but this time in a Total Solar Eclipse). This is a very rare event that happens only once once in a blue Moon! (Sorry, my Gemini Moon made me do it!)

Total Solar Eclipses create major releases of energy in the house position where they occur. They certainly end one state of being and instigate another. This can be very helpful for that instigation can change things for the better, releasing old patterns so that some new “sunlight” may shine, enter the life, and bring an awakening of vitality. In general we can say that a Total Solar Eclipse brings about the ending of one set of circumstances so that another may begin. In the case of the sign of Cancer, on the personal human level, what is ended and released often has to do with fears and “withholds.” Release and enjoy the new sunlight!
