February 19: Mercury goes direct at 02:51 am at 08°19 Aquarius. What a relief (especially for people with strong Gemini and/or Virgo placements in their charts, like yours truly). This is especially good for making plans that involve group dynamics and for travel and communications in general. The Little Herm will move directly along until he decides to retrograde again in his own sign of Gemini on May 26th. Mercury’s direct motion coincides with the entry of the Sun in Pisces also on this day at 06:50 am. In addition, the Sun sextiles Pluto later on tonight at 10:45 pm. All in all, this is a great day to move ahead with plans and projects.

February 21: Lunar eclipse (Full Moon) at 01°53 Virgo. If this degree falls within 5 degrees via conjunction or opposition to a major point in your chart, look for increased activity in that particular area of your life. Eclipses often bring releases of energy that can augur some good opportunities if you are willing to also go through the release process yourself. They may also indicate the end of one phase of a given situation and the beginning of the next. Saturn is nearby at 05°18 Virgo (R) this day, so I would expect there to be some changes in the structure of work-related projects in the house where 01°-05° Virgo falls in your chart as well as the need to consolidate or clarify details. For some people, especially if the 6th house or its ruler are involved, this eclipse may also indicate some health related issues.

February 24: Sun opposes Saturn at 05°10 Virgo (R). This is a good opportunity to see if there are any unfinished responsibilities at work and then go about completing them.

February 26: Mercury conjunct Venus at 11°12 Aquarius. A fine day for communicating with friends and for making harmonious contacts with groups and organizations.

March 7: Mars in opposition to Pluto at 00°58' of Cancer/Capricorn. This is a highly significant transit especially if we look to the Sabian Symbols for some indications. 00-01° Cancer is: "On a ship the sailors lower an old flag and raise up a new one." 00-01° Capricorn tells us: "An Indian chief claims power from the assembled tribe." On a political level in terms of the USA, I see this as when the Democratic presidential nominee becomes obvious to one and all and assumes the power of this status. After all, this will be right after the very important March 4th Ohio and Texas primaries.

On a more personal level, should this degree fall within 1 degree of an important position in your chart, look for the opportunities to enter into battle with that part of your “shadow self” that needs the power of the “Will-to-Good” in your life. This is an excellent opportunity to “name your wound” and take the important steps to heal it. It is now that you can truly “enter into the battle for Light.” Remember that Mars/Pluto will definitely destroy but it will also contain all the ingredients for renewal and regeneration.

On a global level, we should expect a rising up of violent acts, explosions, and other forms of domestic/national upheaval on the days right before and after the 7th as well of course, on that day itself. This latter tendency to social upheaval (and the new Democratic candidate will certainly be the personification of social change and progress, especially if it is a true Afro-American and/or a woman—I can always hope for a “Dream Team”) is furthered by the New Moon at 17°31 Pisces as this position makes a very close conjunction to Uranus at 18°34 Pisces on this day. In addition to the above mentioned celestial events, there is one other: Venus conjunct Neptune at 22°39 Aquarius—may compassion in terms of Right Human Relations reign!!!

March 8: The Sun conjoins Uranus at 18°39 Pisces. More possibilities for new, positive social progress as well as violent social upheavals as the energies of March 7th are furthered and underscored by this aspect.

March 9: Mercury conjoins Neptune at 22°44 Aquarius. This aspect should give quite a boost to the newly ended Hollywood writers’ strike! Also watch the political writing machine pour forth a volley of very intense propaganda.

March 12: Venus enters Pisces. The Goddess of Compassion comes alive in this combination and let us pray that She brings her gifts with great potency at this time. She is certainly strengthened in this respect as she sextiles Pluto on March 13 while on March 14 Mercury also joins Venus, Uranus, and the Sun in the sign of the Celestial Fish. One can only hope that the tone set by the great potential available for positive social change in the USA may be correctly and compassionately communicated to the world. Mercury is helped and supported on March 15 by his sextile to Pluto. Both the Venus and Mercury sextiles to Pluto take place at 01° Pisces/Capricorn. These are excellent tempering aspects to the Mars/Pluto opposition that took place the week before.

March 16: Venus trine to Mars at 04°12 Pisces/Cancer. Sweet!

March 17: Mercury opposes Saturn at 03°28 Pisces/Virgo. Should this degree fall with a degree or so of an important position in your chart, this is a day in which you may have to take care of detailed responsibilities and may be quite reluctant to do so. The mind may be a bit foggy!

March 18: Mercury trine to Mars at 05°02 Pisces/Cancer. A much better day to take care of what you postponed doing yesterday!
